Athlete Monitoring System Lead at High Performance Sport New Zealand

Alan Carlsson is an experienced leader in high-performance sports, currently serving as the Athlete Monitoring System Lead at High Performance Sport New Zealand since March 2019, where responsibilities include developing an athlete-centered electronic health record while ensuring privacy and confidentiality across various health and performance domains. Prior to this role, Alan spent nearly a decade with Triathlon Canada as the Technical and Sport Science Lead, focusing on data management and analytics in high-performance contexts. Alan's coaching background includes serving as Head Coach for the Leading Edge Triathlon Club and for elite athletes, including Olympian Kamini Jain in sprint kayaking. Alan also held the High Performance Director position at the Canadian Blind Sports Association and has extensive experience coaching at the False Creek Racing Canoe Club. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science and a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, both from the University of Calgary.
