Sandy S. has a diverse work experience in the field of Human Resources. Sandy started their career in 2005 as a Data Coordinator at ADT Security Services, where they were responsible for administrative tasks and updating security databases. From 2007 to 2010, they worked as a Human Resources Coordinator at ATB Financial, assisting with pre-screening candidates and tracking hiring data. Sandy'snext role was as an HR Consultant at LSDC from 2010 to 2014, where they provided HR support, recruited and hired office staff, and conducted new hire orientation and training. Sandy then worked as an HR Manager at Skystone International Inc. from 2014 to 2016, where they administered HR policies and programs and served as the primary point-of-contact for employees and management. From 2017 to 2019, they served in the Reserve Force of the Canadian Armed Forces as part of the Human Resources division. Sandy's most recent position is at High Tide Inc., where they have held various roles since 2018, including Manager, Director, and currently, Vice President of Human Resources.
Sandy S. has a diverse education history. In 1994, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Following this, in 1997, they obtained a Bachelor of Education degree from the same university, specializing in Education.
In 2000, Sandy pursued a Master's degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, completing their studies in 2002.
In 2004, they attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) for a brief period to earn a Basic Business Law certificate.
In 2006, Sandy enrolled at the University of Calgary, where they obtained an Alberta Teaching Certificate. Sandy completed their studies in Education in 2009.
Continuing their professional development, Sandy pursued further certifications. In 2009, they earned the Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) certification from the Institute of Professional Management- IPM. Later, in 2012, they obtained the Certified Human Resources Professional (CPHR) certification from CPHR Alberta.
More recently, in 2019, Sandy completed a Master's Diploma in Executive Talent Management from the Canadian HR Academy. Alongside their diploma, they obtained various certifications, including the Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), as well as the Certified Talent Management Professional from Canadian HR Solutions Inc.
