Melinda Carol Simpson

Melinda Carol Simpson has extensive experience in the behavioral health field, currently serving as a Behavioral Health Assessor at Highland Rivers Health since December 2019. Previously, Melinda held positions as a Primary Therapist at 1 Alliance Counseling and Psychotherapy Services and owned Embracing Change Professional Counseling Services, LLC. Melinda's background also includes working as an LPC at WellStar Health System and providing social services at Avita Community Partners. Earlier experiences include serving as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor at the Georgia Department of Labor and as a Social Services Provider II at Middle Flint Community Service Board. Melinda holds a B.A. in Psychology from The University of Georgia, a Master of Education in Community Guidance and Counseling from the University of West Georgia, and completed studies at Unity Urban Ministerial School from 2016 to 2020.
