Laura Simpson

Laura Simpson is an accomplished educator and leader in higher education, currently serving as the Deputy Head of Higher Education and Interim Head of Business at Highlands College, Jersey, since September 2021. Prior to this role, Laura held various positions, including Programme Lead for BA (Hons) Social Work (Jersey) and interim leadership roles within Cheshire West and Chester Council. Laura's diverse experience also includes roles as a Training Manager at Think Tank Academy and Health and Social Care Lecturer at Hugh Baird College and West Lancashire College. Academic qualifications include a Master of Education in Readiness for Direct Practice of Newly Qualified Social Workers from the University of the West of England, as well as a PGCE from the University of Central Lancashire and a BA (Hons) in Social Work from Glasgow Caledonian University.
