Dorothy Barnes

Dorothy Barnes is an experienced educator and administrator currently serving as Principal for the Independent Study High School (CICA) program at Highlands Community Charter and Technical Schools since September 2019. With a rich background in various educational roles, Dorothy has held positions such as Lead Teacher and Independent Study Teacher across high school and middle school levels, as well as working as an Instructional Tutor at Visions in Education Charter School. Previous experience includes mentoring program coordination with Social Advocates for Youth/CalSERVES and founding Affinity Recruiting Network, a recruitment agency specializing in Healthcare and IT. Dorothy holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems Management/Network Management from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Mercer University.
