Steve Yoset

Steve Yoset has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and industries. Steve began their career at Kelly Services as a Supervisor before moving on to Pittsburgh Mercy Health System as an HR Assistant. Steve then joined HealthSouth as an HR Coordinator.

In 1998, they joined PNC Financial Services Group as a VP/Manager, Compensation, where they managed a team and developed compensation programs for a large employee base. During their time at PNC, Steve built a new department structure and launched a Compensation Council for learning and process improvement.

After leaving PNC in 2006, Steve worked at Medrad as a Compensation Manager, leading the design and management of market-competitive compensation programs. Steve also launched and led the company's Financial Wellness strategy.

In 2010, Steve joined Kennametal as a Senior Manager Global Compensation and Director of Sales Enablement. During their time at Kennametal, they gained experience in global compensation management.

In 2015, Steve started working at Highmark Health, where they held several positions, including VP Compensation, VP Enterprise Agile and Total Rewards Initiatives, and VP HR Service Operations and HR Value Acceleration Marketplace. In these roles, they were responsible for various aspects of compensation, total rewards initiatives, and HR service operations.

Currently, Steve is the Board President of Pittsburgh Musical Theater since 2023.

Steve Yoset obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania from 1990 to 1994. In 2000, they attended the HR Executive Program at the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business. In addition to their formal education, Steve Yoset has obtained several certifications throughout their career. Steve became a Certified Practitioner of Human-Centered Design from LUMA Institute in February 2021. Steve earned the Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in June 2020. Steve Yoset received the Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) certification from WorldatWork in February 2013. Steve also obtained the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from Kennametal, Inc in May 2012, and became a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) from WorldatWork in January 2010.
