Michael Surkin

Michael Surkin is an experienced HR professional currently serving as an HR Value Acceleration Consultant at Highmark Health since August 2018, where responsibilities include leading HR teams and serving as a Scrum Master or Project Manager for various initiatives. Prior to Highmark Health, Michael worked at UPMC as a Senior Recruiter, Strategic Sourcing, and in the Corporate IT department, focusing on talent acquisition and recruitment strategies to support organizational growth. Earlier career experiences include roles at Specialty Consultants Inc. as an Associate Recruiter, and various positions involving marketing and production support at Unlocked Global Phones, Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex, and IUP-TV. Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and graduated from Downingtown West High School.
