Ron Landen has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ron began their career as an intern in the legal departments of The Coca-Cola Company and UPS. Ron also interned at Delta Air Lines in the legal operations. Ron then worked as an associate at Jones Day, where they represented corporate clients, venture capitalists, and private equity clients in various corporate counseling and transactional matters. Ron later joined Weil Gotshal and Manges as a senior associate, working on negotiating and consummating private equity investments and corporate acquisition transactions. Ron then moved to Proskauer Rose LLP as Special Corporate Counsel, where they served as outside general counsel to executives in private equity and corporate clients. Ron also led and managed various transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, debt-for-equity exchanges, and venture capital investments. Ron continued their legal career at Affiliated Managers Group as Vice President and Counsel, providing legal support to the company's affiliate development group and serving as general counsel for senior executives. Ron was responsible for handling contractual, regulatory, operational, and employment matters, as well as joint ventures and internal governance matters. Ron also played a role in implementing business strategies and new product development. In 2014, they joined HighVista Strategies as a Partner, Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer. Currently, Ron serves as adjunct faculty at Boston College Law School and as a lecturer at Northeastern University in the biotechnology field.
Ron Landen completed their education with a BBA in Accounting from Southern Methodist University in 1993. Ron further pursued their studies and obtained a JD from Emory University School of Law between 1996 and 1999. During the same period, they also earned an MBA in Finance from Emory University - Goizueta Business School. Additionally, Ron Landen obtained a certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy in November 1995.
