Dorothy Gemoto

Dorothy Gemoto is a seasoned design professional with a strong background in web and interaction design, graphic design, and illustration. Currently serving as a Freelance Web & Interaction Designer at Hiker since November 2020 and as a Graphic Designer & Illustrator at Hello Yellow Bird since June 2017, Dorothy has previously held the position of Communications Director at First Christian Church of National City from May 2015 to August 2017. Earlier experience includes a role as a Designer at Departure from September 2010 to September 2013 and an internship as a Graphic Design Intern at Bennett Peji Design from December 2009 to August 2010. Dorothy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Arts and Sciences with an emphasis in Graphic Design from San Diego State University and a Master of Practical Studies in User Experience Design from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Additional studies were completed at San Diego City College.
