Patrick Flannery was appointed Vice President for Finance and Treasurer for Hillsdale College in July 2010. He received his B.A. in accounting from Michigan State University. Afterwards, he worked in Boston, Massachusetts, for the audit department of PricewaterhouseCoopers. He served in a similar capacity with Andrews, Hooper & Pavlik in its Rochester Hills, Michigan, office.
Upon accepting a position with the Regis University finance department, he moved to Colorado. During his time at Regis University, he received a master in business administration degree with an emphasis in finance and accounting. He also served as an adjunct professor at Regis University. He holds a CPA license in the State of Michigan.
Flannery served on the city councils in Dacono, Colorado, from 2004 to 2007 and in Hillsdale, Michigan, from 2013 to 2017. In both cities, he was elected by the councils to serve as the Mayor Pro Tem. He has served as a director for Southern Michigan Bank & Trust since 2017. Recently, he was appointed as a director to the Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Lansing. Additionally, he is a member of the Knights of Columbus, where he serves as an officer of the local council. He is a gun enthusiast and a member of the NRA.
Flannery and his wife, Emily, have seven children and reside in Hillsdale, Michigan.
