Matthew Mitchell

Matthew Mitchell has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2004, they worked as a Yacht Captain, where they oversaw the operations of privately owned yachts and led teams on projects requiring attention to detail and time management. From 2008 to 2009, they were an Intern at Rhode Island General Treasurer, where they conducted research on investment strategies for state governments. In 2014, they joined Webster Bank, initially serving as a Municipal Finance Analyst, supporting credit analysis and underwriting processes for loans to municipalities. Matthew later held positions as an Assistant Vice President, Vice President, and Associate Portfolio Manager, with responsibilities including municipal loan underwriting, RFP response writing, and modeling of new money and refunding issues. In 2021, they joined Santander US as a Vice President and continued in that role until 2022. Currently, they serve as a Vice President, Investment Banker at Hilltop Securities Inc.
