Alexander Bazuzi

Information Systems Specialist VI at Hilo Medical Center

Alexander Bazuzi has worked in the Information Technology field since 2007. In 2007, they worked as a Repair Technician at Bytes and Bites Internet Cafe, where they maintained computers for public use and performed break-fix repair for customers. In 2008, they took on the role of Technical Coordinator at Ke Ana La'ahana, where they were responsible for all aspects of the school's technology needs. From 2010 to 2012, they worked at Bay Path College as a Network Systems Support Technician and a Distributed Computing Support Specialist. In this role, they were responsible for the overall health and reliability of the network and server infrastructure, and upgraded the campus from Windows XP to Windows 7. From 2013 to 2016, they were the Owner of Aloha Technology Services, a Managed Service Provider for local businesses and schools. Finally, since 2016, they have been an Information Systems Specialist at HILO Medical Center, where they have held roles as an Information Systems Specialist VI, an Information System Specialist V, and an Information Systems Specialist IV. In these roles, they have been responsible for desktop administration, configuration management, application packaging, software updates, PC imaging, system administration, PBX and WiFi phones, and documentation and standardization.

Alexander Bazuzi obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) in Information Technology from New River Community College. Alexander also holds certifications from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for an Amateur Radio Technician Class License (obtained in November 2019), an Amateur Radio General Class License (obtained in October 2021), and from CompTIA for an A+ (obtained in December 2010). Additionally, they hold a Cisco Certified Entry Technician certification from Cisco (obtained in December 2011).
