Gian-Marco Baschera

Gian-Marco Baschera has a diverse work experience in the field of analytics and data science. Gian-Marco currently serves as the Head of IoT Platform and Analytics at Hilti Group since January 2024. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Analytics Product Owners at Hilti Group from March 2021 to December 2023.

Before joining Hilti Group, Gian-Marco worked at Zühlke Group in various roles. Gian-Marco was a Principal Data Scientist from July 2016 to March 2021, a Lead Data Scientist from January 2015 to June 2016, and a Senior Data Scientist from January 2014 to December 2015. Gian-Marco started their career at Zühlke Group as a Software Engineer from May 2012 to December 2013.

Additionally, Gian-Marco has experience as a Data Scientist at the Gehirn- und Traumastiftung Graubünden from May 2011 to April 2012.

Gian-Marco Baschera obtained a Doktor (Ph.D.) degree in Informatik from ETH Zürich from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science degree in Rechnergestützte Wissenschaften from ETH Zürich from 2003 to 2006. Gian-Marco'seducation history also includes a Grundstudium in Mathematik from ETH Zürich, which they completed from 2001 to 2003.
