About the Role:

The VP of Consumer Communications will lead the development and execution of a world-class consumer communications strategy to promote our telehealth platform, services, and products. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, social, content, and clinical, you and your team of consumer communications stars will coordinate major brand moments, special projects, and campaigns, as well as proactive storytelling efforts. Reporting directly to the CCO, you will have a finger on the pulse of cultural trends, analyze data, and create effective communications campaigns that engage consumers and build brand awareness.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive consumer communications and public relations strategy that supports the company's overall brand and business objectives.
  • Lead the management of media relations, including the development of press releases, pitching stories to media outlets, coordinating interviews and press events, and amplifying messaging through thought leadership opportunities.
  • Manage internal team of communicators and outside agency team.
  • Develop and implement crisis communication plans to ensure the company is prepared to respond effectively to any potential issues.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to ensure the company's communications strategy stays ahead of the curve.

Experience & Skills:

  • 15+ years of experience in consumer communications, with significant experience in fast-paced, consumer-facing, public companies.
  • Proven track record of building and advancing groundbreaking narratives, demonstrating strong business momentum.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and strong project management.
  • Proven ability to manage crisis situations and reduce risk through effective preparation.
  • Experience executing media campaigns, building relationships with media, and working with executives.
  • Strong media relationships and ability to work effectively with external agencies.
  • Motivated self-starter with hands-on attitude and inspired manager of individuals.
  • Collaborative individual who enjoys working closely across departments to create and distribute the most impactful communications possible.
  • Ability to balance short- and long-term priorities.

Outlined below is a reasonable estimate of H&H’s compensation range for this role.

An estimate of the current salary range is $200,000 - $325,000. H&H also offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSU’s) so that H&H employees own a piece of our company. The actual amount will take into account a range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and location.
