Kasia Ruta

Kasia Ruta has over 20 years of experience in financial analysis and management roles. Kasia began their career as an intern at the Ministry of Finance of Poland in 2001. Kasia then worked at Lufthansa Technik AG and Tchibo GmbH in intern roles before moving to MGL METRO Group Logistics Polska. At MGL METRO, they progressed from Financial Analyst to Project Manager, where they managed business cases and financial analyses. Subsequently, Kasia worked at Makro Cash and Carry Poland as an Accounting Manager and FP&A Manager, overlooking operational cost planning and leading a team of four. Prior to joining HIMSS as a Senior Financial Analyst, they held the position of Senior Financial Analyst at Sears Holdings Corporation, responsible for revenue and operational cost reporting. In their current role at HIMSS as a Lead Business Financial Partner, Kasia focuses on broad financial support for strategic business units, assisting with financial forecasts, strategic financial planning, and project implementation.

Kasia Ruta completed a Master's degree in International Management at European-University Viadrina from 1998 to 2004. Kasia then pursued a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA, CGMA) qualification at CIMA from 2009 to 2014. Kasia also studied International Business at Texas A&M International University in 2001. Additionally, they obtained the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) certification from CIMA.
