Kailash Prasad

Kailash Prasad has a strong background in geology and mine planning with experience in various roles. Kailash started their career at Vedanta Resources Plc as a Trainee Geologist, where they were responsible for preparing cutting plans and collecting daily blast face samples. Kailash then moved on to become a Sr. Geologist, where they focused on mine planning, including pit design and optimization. After their time at Vedanta Resources, Kailash worked at Ispat Industries Ltd as an Assistant Manager and later as a Deputy Manager in Geology & Mine Planning. In these roles, they were involved in exploration, geological database preparation, reserve and resource calculation, and long and short term mine planning. Most recently, Kailash has been working at Hindalco Industries Limited as an Area Head-Mine Planner, where they specialize in technical and planning sections for long and short-term plans using specialized software. Their responsibilities also include scheduling mining operations based on plant targets and cost modeling. Overall, Kailash Prasad has extensive experience in geology, mine planning, and technical services within the mining industry.

Kailash Prasad has a strong educational background in geology and earth science. Kailash began their undergraduate studies at St. Xavier's College, Ranchi in 2003 and completed a Bachelor of Science in Geology (H), with a focus on math and physics, in 2006. After successfully obtaining their bachelor's degree, Kailash went on to pursue a Master of Science Tech degree in Geology/Earth Science at Bangalore University. Kailash dedicated three years to their master's program, graduating in 2009.
