Michael Ojovan

Michael Ojovan is an experienced academic and researcher, currently serving as Editor in Chief at Hindawi Publishing since August 2019 and as an Assistant Professor at the University of Sheffield since September 2002. Michael also held the position of Professor at Imperial College London from October 2011 to March 2024, with additional experience as a Visiting Professor. Prior to these roles, Michael worked as a Nuclear Engineer at the IAEA from 2011 to October 2018 and was the Deputy Director at the Scientific and Industrial Association Radon from June 1982 to August 2002, focusing on radioactive waste management and R&D. Michael has contributed to the academic community as a presenter at events such as MRS Fall Meeting 2012 and ICEM2011. Michael holds a PhD in Solid State Physics from the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, completed between 1972 and 1982.
