Kanchan Chakrabarti

Kanchan Chakrabarti has a distinguished work experience spanning over several decades. Starting in 1991, they worked as a Plant Process Engineer at Reliance Industries Ltd for almost nine years. Kanchan then transitioned to various managerial roles within the company, including Product Management in the Cracker and Polypropylene Business Group and Regional Marketing for Polymers. In 2008, they became the Vice President and Regional Head of the Polymer Marketing Group, responsible for overseeing sales revenue of over Rs. 10,000 Cr+ in the Mumbai regional office. From 2011 to 2013, Chakrabarti served as Vice President for Projects & Business Development-Cracker & Polymer Business at Reliance Industries Ltd. Kanchan'srole involved leading the Feedstock Sourcing Project and spearheading international business development initiatives for sourcing feedstock from North America. Additionally, they played a crucial role in setting up a world-class Butyl Rubber manufacturing Joint Venture between Reliance Industries Ltd and Sibur. In July 2021, Chakrabarti joined Hindustan Platinum as Vice President. Overall, they have a diverse and extensive professional background in the petrochemical industry, showcasing their leadership, strategic planning, and business development skills.

Kanchan Chakrabarti began their education in 1987 at the National Institute of Technology Durgapur, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, which they completed in 1991. Kanchan then went on to attend the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore in 1996, where they enrolled in a Management Program with a focus on Manufacturing Management. This program lasted for one year and concluded in 1997. In 2005, Kanchan returned to the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore to pursue the AMPRE program, focusing on Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. Kanchan completed this program in 2006.
