Etienne Zwiebel has a diverse and extensive work experience in the fields of embedded software development and engineering. Etienne began their career at Xerox as a Software Engineer Trainee, where they worked on developing a solution for an online help desk. Etienne then joined Orange Business Services, where they primarily worked as an external for Thales Avionics and contributed to the ADIRU A350 software development team.
Following that, Etienne joined Thales Avionics directly as an Embedded Real Time Software Engineer. Etienne worked on the ADIRU A350 program and was involved in various missions for 3 to 24 months. Etienne gained expertise in areas such as functional feature development, object-oriented programming, version and configuration management, quality monitoring, and code and documentation quality surveillance.
After their tenure at Thales Avionics, Etienne joined SOGILIS as a Software Engineer, where they worked for five years. During this time, they were mainly assigned to projects for Thales Avionics and had the opportunity to work on the Hexo+ project, the first autonomous drone capable of following and filming people during outdoor activities. Etienne also took on the role of CEO and Co-Founder of Sogilis Australia, responsible for establishing and developing the Australian branch of Sogilis.
Most recently, Etienne has been working at Hionos as an Embedded Software Team Lead. The company specializes in safety-critical software development for drones and aims to make drones as safe as aircraft. They apply methods used in the development of the A350 aircraft to ensure the safety of their autopilot, the Pulsar Flight System.

Etienne Zwiebel's education history begins in 2002 when they attended the IUT Belfort-Montbéliard, where they obtained a DUT degree in Informatique/Computer Science/IT in 2004. Etienne then furthered their education by attending the University of Portsmouth from 2004 to 2005, although it is not specified if they obtained a degree during that time.
