Lisa Medina, CPA, MSA

Lisa Medina, CPA, MSA has a diverse work experience in accounting and finance. Lisa began their career as a Junior Accountant at Intraline, Inc in 2012, and later worked as an Accountant at Express Freight System and Greenhills International. In 2014, they served as the Executive Assistant to the COO at Guggenheim Realty Group Inc. Lisa then transitioned to a role as a Support Specialist in the Direct Channel at Intacct Corporation. In 2016, Lisa joined Bong Hillberg Lewis Fischesser LLP as an Audit Staff Accountant. Lisa then moved to BPM LLP, where they worked as an Accounting Advisory Associate II and later as an Accounting Advisory Senior. Their responsibilities at BPM LLP included managing client engagements, reviewing financial statements, overseeing compliance filings, and implementing cloud-based software. In 2018, Lisa worked as an Accounting Advisory Supervisor at MGO (Macias Gini & O'Connell LLP), and later as the Director of Technology / Controller at HireAthena. In this role, they created workpapers, prepared financial statements, trained staff on accounting principles, and implemented various accounting software tools.

Lisa Medina, CPA, MSA received their Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA) degree from California State University - East Bay in 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Corporate Management, Marketing & Finance from the same university in 2014. Lisa has also obtained various certifications including the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the California Board of Accountancy. Lisa is also certified as a Bill.com Expert and Guru, a Certified Implementer by Sage Intacct, Inc., and a Certified Accountant by Sage Intacct, Inc. Additionally, they hold an Expensify Expert Certification.
