Pieter DePree

Pieter DePree has a diverse work experience in various roles related to people management and talent acquisition. Their most recent position was as the Head of People at Hiro Systems, starting in October 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of Talent Acquisition at the same company from October 2020 to October 2021.

Before joining Hiro Systems, Pieter held the position of Director of People & Talent at ProdPerfect from February 2020 to June 2020. Pieter also worked as the Head of People & Recruiting at Shortcut from April 2019 to February 2020.

Pieter gained experience in technical recruitment while working at Facebook as a Technical Recruiter, SWE from January 2018 to April 2019. Prior to that, they held the role of Lead Technical Recruiter/Lead People Operations Partner at Stack Overflow from November 2014 to January 2018. Pieter also worked as a Global Sales Recruiter at Stack Overflow from February 2013 to November 2014.

Earlier in their career, Pieter worked as a Regional Sales Recruiter at ADP from October 2012 to March 2013. Pieter also had a role as an Operations & Sales Recruiter (Contract) at Grubhub from May 2012 to October 2012. Pieter worked as a Senior Recruiter II and Recruiter at Aerotek from January 2012 to May 2012 and from April 2011 to May 2012, respectively.

Additionally, Pieter has experience in marketing and promotions, having worked as a Marketing & Promotions team member at Global English Pujiang from August 2010 to January 2011. Pieter started their career as an Accountant at Currency Exchange International Corp. in December 2007 and worked there until July 2010.

Pieter DePree obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a focus in Finance from the UCF College of Business. In addition, they have obtained several certifications including PHR (Professional in Human Resources) from the HR Certification Institute, CDR (Certified Diversity Recruiter 8.0), CSSR (Certified Social Sourcing Recruiter), and PRC (Professional Recruiter Certified) from AIRS. The certifications were obtained in February 2013 and the PHR certification was obtained in January 2015.
