Additionally, Ana Marie has worked as a Senior Program Officer at the Annie E. Casey Foundation from 2001 to 2009, overseeing the Foundation's exploration in Indian Country and the US-Mexico border region. Prior to that, they founded and served as the Principal of Argilagos Strategic Consulting LLC, where they advised non-profits, philanthropies, multilaterals, and the public sector on sustainable and inclusive urbanization strategies.
Ana Marie'searlier experiences include serving as a Special Assistant to the Deputy Secretary at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development from 1998 to 2001, a Special Assistant to the President at NCLR from 1992 to 1997, the Deputy Director at Ayuda from 1990 to 1992, and an Educational Programs Manager at the National Association of Hispanic Journalists from 1988 to 1990.
Ana Marie Argilagos completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from American University from 1983 to 1986. Ana Marie'smajor was in International Relations with minors in Business Administration and Latin American Studies. Ana Marie later pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from Harvard Kennedy School from 1997 to 1998, specializing in Public Administration.
