Kelly Long, MS, DABT has extensive work experience in the field of toxicology and pharmacology. Kelly is currently working as the Senior Director of Toxicology, Scientific Engagement at Inotiv since March 2023, where they are responsible for scientific engagement and toxicology. Prior to this, they worked as the Senior Director of Pharmacology & Toxicology at the same company from December 2020 to March 2023.
Before joining Inotiv, Kelly worked at BASi as the Director of Pharmacology & Toxicology from November 2018 to November 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Seventh Wave Laboratories LLC. Kelly held various positions at Seventh Wave, including Associate Director of Pharmacology & Toxicology from January 2017 to October 2018, Senior Study Director from February 2013 to December 2016, and Study Director from June 2010 to January 2013. In these roles, they were involved in managing study direction, implementing policies and procedures, mentoring and supervising study directors, and conducting various in vivo experiments.
Kelly also gained valuable experience working at Pfizer as a Principal Scientist from August 2006 to June 2010, Senior Scientist from August 2003 to August 2006, and Scientist from August 2000 to August 2003. During their time at Pfizer, they worked on the discovery and characterization of lead molecules, conducted in vivo pharmacology experiments, and contributed to the development of clinical candidates.
Prior to their industry experience, Kelly worked as a Research Associate at Monsanto from August 1998 to August 2000, where they coordinated animal experiments and gained experience in in vivo techniques.

Kelly Long, MS, DABT has a strong educational background in the field of science. Kelly earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Truman State University, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. Kelly then pursued their Master of Science degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they completed from 1996 to 1998.
In addition to their academic achievements, Kelly obtained additional certifications to further enhance their professional skills. Kelly received a certification in Business Ethics from LinkedIn in June 2020. Earlier, in November 2011, they achieved the prestigious title of "Diplomate" from the American Board of Toxicology.
