Alasdair Massie

Alasdair Massie is a Senior Engineer at Historic England since June 2020, providing structural advice on development and conservation projects. Prior experience includes serving as a Principal Structural Engineer at Stantec from September 2002 to May 2020, where projects included the refurbishment of St Luke's Hospital and various Cambridge colleges. Alasdair worked as a Contract Engineer at Parkman, focusing on commercial building design and timber engineering, and was a Chartered Engineer at Lister Beare, contributing to the refurbishment of the Tower of London's "New Armories." Earlier roles include work with Cooper MacDonald Daud on commercial and institutional buildings, and design efforts at ALAN BAXTER & ASSOCIATES LLP, Scott Wilson Kirkpatrick, and W Paskowski and Partners on several significant refurbishment projects. Alasdair holds a First Class BSc Honours degree in Civil Engineering from Loughborough University and completed O levels and A levels at Churcher's College.
