Dorothy Hoskins

Dorothy Hoskins has extensive work experience in various roles related to development, outreach, and education in the field of historic preservation and conservation. Dorothy has worked as the Head of Development at Historic Environment Scotland since September 2022. In this role, they are responsible for managing public engagement, education programs, events, and content related to conservation. Prior to this, Dorothy worked as the Technical Outreach and Education Manager at Historic Environment Scotland, where they focused on engaging people with their surroundings and developing their skills and knowledge. Dorothy has also served as the Group Planning Manager, overseeing business planning and sustainability initiatives, and as a Project Officer at the Scottish Historic Buildings Trust, where they managed heritage projects and funding applications. Dorothy's early career included roles as a Marketing Executive at Matthew Algie and a Project Manager at RUSSELL FERGUSON MARKETING LIMITED.

Dorothy Hoskins began their education journey in 1993 at the University of Aberdeen. Dorothy completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with Honors in 1997. Moving forward, they pursued higher education at the University of Strathclyde, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Marketing from 1997 to 1998. Later, they attended the Edinburgh College of Art from 2003 to 2004, focusing on Architectural Conservation.
