Nicole Wallace has a diverse work experience in the education field. Nicole started their career as a Gallery Interpreter at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County in 2006. In 2007, they became a Peace Corps Volunteer, serving in this role until 2009. Following their time in the Peace Corps, Nicole worked as an English Language Assistant at the Consulate General of France in New York from 2009 to 2010. Nicole then transitioned to the role of an English Teacher at Ao Jia Language School from 2010 to 2011. In 2011, Nicole joined the American Museum of Natural History as an Educator before becoming the Director of Education & Public Engagement at the Bronx Children's Museum in the same year. Nicole held this position until 2023, when they began their role as the Director of Education at Historic Hudson Valley.

Nicole Wallace pursued their education at the Bank Street College of Education from 2018 to 2020. During this time, they earned a Master's of Science in Education with a specialization in Leadership in Museum Education. Prior to that, Nicole attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2002 to 2006. There, they obtained their Bachelor's degree, majoring in Classical Civilizations.
