Olly Marshall-Moore

Olly Marshall-Moore has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Olly currently holds the position of Head of Business Intelligence at Hitachi Rail since September 2022. In this role, they are responsible for driving strategic transformation and technical execution of business intelligence capability, coaching and training BI analysts and developers, and expanding the reach of business intelligence across global business functions.

Prior to their current role, Olly worked at Hitachi Rail as the Lead Data Analyst (Rolling Stock UK) from April 2021 to September 2022. In this role, they led a cross-functional business intelligence team, delivered and administered Power BI Premium, and established best practice data governance and BI delivery.

Before joining Hitachi Rail, Olly worked at Nobia AB as a Senior Business Improvement Analyst from October 2013 to March 2018. Olly focused on performance improvement through enhanced business intelligence, particularly in supply chain operations, compliance, and cost of failure. Olly also played a key role in BI project delivery and analytical solution development.

Olly's experience also includes a brief tenure at Diebold as a Business Analyst - FP&A from January 2013 to October 2013, where they were involved in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning processes, and financial analysis.

Olly began their career at Benenden Healthcare Society as a Business & Performance Analyst / R&D Manager from February 2007 to July 2009. In this role, they developed management information systems, optimized business processes, and led the Research & Development team.

Olly also worked at P&O Ports from September 2000 to January 2007 as a Business Analyst / International Systems Deployment Manager. In this role, they were responsible for the development of global corporate reporting systems and processes, as well as operational simulation systems across the group. Olly was also appointed as an 'Associate Professor' of the P&O Ports Institute in Operational Analysis.

Earlier in their career, Olly worked at DSG Retail Ltd as an Operations Analyst from August 1995 to August 1998, where they started as an Operations Manager at their Edinburgh branch.
