Jose Leviaguirre

Jose Leviaguirre has been working in the technology industry since 2005. Jose began their career as a Software Engineer at NCH Enterprises, then moved on to a Senior Solutions Consultant role at Shell in 2009. From 2010 to 2014, they held the role of IT Director at Expedition Marketing Group (XMG), and also worked as a Lead Technical Consultant and Senior Technical Consultant at Perficient. In 2014, they became Vice President of Social Media and Founding Member at Houston-Mexico Energy Group (now ISME, International Society for Mexico Energy). From 2015 to 2021, they held multiple roles at BHP, including Manager HSE Reporting and Assurance Minerals America's, Principal Analytics and Data Science, and TIBCO Spotfire Developer & Consultant. In 2017, they co-founded Hive Genie, where they served as Bee Data Officer. Currently, they are a Senior Data Scientist Lead at TIBCO Spotfire.

Jose Leviaguirre began their educational journey in 1994 at Universidad Anáhuac where they obtained a BSc in Telecommunications Engineer in 1998. Jose then went on to pursue an MSc in Advanced Computing at the University of Bristol from 1999 to 2001. In 2002, they completed a Postgraduate degree in Marketing at Universidad Iberomexicana. In 2015, they obtained certifications in R Programming and The Data Science Toolkit from Coursera. In 2018, they received a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from AIT Business Solutions LLC. Most recently, in 2021, they were awarded the Arduino Fundamentals Certification from Arduino.
