Nicolas Fonseca

Nicolas Fonseca has extensive experience in institutional sales and finance, currently serving as Institutional Sales LatAm at HMC CAPITAL since January 2017, focusing on markets in Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and Uruguay. Prior to this role, Fonseca worked as an Equities Sales/Trader at BTG Pactual from June 2013 to May 2015, where strategic equity sales and trading led to the firm's rise from third to first in market share in Chile. Fonseca also held the position of Portfolio Manager at Provida AFP from January 2009 to May 2013, managing an Asian Equity Portfolio valued at US$5 billion and previously serving as an Equity Analyst. Fonseca began their career as a teaching assistant at Universidad de Chile in 2008. Education includes an MBA from USC Marshall School of Business and an Ingeniero Civil Industrial degree from Universidad de Chile, along with being a Level III candidate at CFA Institute.
