Brandy Frey

Brandy Frey is the Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer at HNL Lab Medicine. She is responsible for providing direction and oversight of the Compliance and Privacy Program that ensures compliance with laws and regulations while balancing risk mitigation with the achievement of business goals. Brandy’s 20+ years of operational experience in the clinical laboratory inform the compliance efforts necessary for the growth and continued success of HNL Lab Medicine.

Brandy joined HNL Lab Medicine in 1999 as a Medical Technologist in the Automation and Acute Care Laboratories and she has held several roles in operations and corporate compliance over the years. In an operations management role, she led the expansion of the Point-of-Care-Testing program at Lehigh Valley Health Network’s hospitals in the Lehigh Valley region. Subsequently, she served HNL Lab Medicine in the capacity of Vice President, Support Operations with responsibility for the strategic alignment of over 400 staff in non-clinical and clinical support functions. It was in this role that she established a new process excellence department dedicated to creating and delivering value to internal and external customers.

Brandy earned her BS in Medical Technology from East Stroudsburg University, her Healthcare MBA from The George Washington University in Washington, DC, and her Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law with a Concentration in Regulatory Analysis and Compliance from Delaware Law at Widener University. She holds the following certifications: Certified in Health Care Compliance (CHC) and Certified in Health Care Privacy Compliance (CHC) from the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA). She is also certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) as a Medical Technologist.
