David Shelton

David Shelton, AICP, is a seasoned planning professional with extensive experience in multimodal transportation projects. Currently serving as Principal Planner at HNTB since September 2017, David acts as Deputy Project Manager for Sound Transit’s West Seattle and Ballard Link Extensions Project. Previously, David held the role of Transportation Planner at Parsons Brinckerhoff (now WSP USA) from November 1998 to September 2017, where notable projects included the Sound Transit 3 System Planning and the Ship Canal Crossing Study, among others. David's career includes positions at TDA, Inc., the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Department of Education. David holds a Master of City and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Pomona College. In addition, David participated in the Leadership Tomorrow program from 2004 to 2005.
