Alexis Papathanassis

Alexis Papathanassis has been the Rector at Hochschule Bremerhaven since 2019.

Alexis was previously with Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences, Hellenic Army (Artillery Division) and TUI.

Papathanassis started their career as a student intern at Deloitte Consulting in 1993 and then became a Consultant Trainee until 1994.

In 1995, they joined TUI as a Business Development Manager and stayed with the company for 10 years until 2005.

After a brief stint with the Hellenic Army, Papathanassis returned to TUI in 1999 and held various positions within the company until their departure in 2019.

Alexis Papathanassis has a PhD in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from Leibniz Universität Hannover, a Master of Science in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of Bath. Alexis also has an Apolytirion from 1st Lyceum of Rhodes.
