Morgan A. von Gegerfelt

Morgan A. von Gegerfelt has extensive experience in the maritime industry. Their most recent position was as the Head of Marine Operations and Assurance at Höegh LNG, where they were responsible for daily marine operations of a fleet of LNG carriers and FSRUs. Prior to this, they worked as a Captain at Höegh LNG Fleet Management AS and Bumi Armada. They also held the role of Operations Manager at Höegh LNG, where their responsibilities included communication with ships agents, charters, and project support. Earlier in their career, they served as a Senior Nautical Superintendent at Höegh LNG during the construction of new LNG vessels and as a Chief Officer at Höegh Fleet Services. They also gained experience as a Senior Maritime Pilot at Kystverket and held various roles in the maritime industry from deckboy to captain.

Morgan A. von Gegerfelt obtained a Master's degree in Technical Maritime Management from the University of South-Eastern Norway from 2011 to 2024. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Master Mariner from Kalmar University from 1992 to 1993. Additionally, Morgan attended Chalmers University of Technology from 1986 to 1989, where they earned a D-Cert Class II in Maritime. Lastly, in 1982-1983, they completed the 2nd Officer program at Bergen Sjømannsskole, specializing in Maritime studies.
