G. R. Meijer

G. R. Meijer is the current rector at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. Prior to that, they worked as an Eclipse RCP consultant and trainer at IBM from April 2008 to December 2016. Before IBM, they worked as a product marketing director at Sylvania Lighting International from January 1994 to December 1999.

G. R. Meijer has completed a propedeuse cum laude + 3 years in Dutch law from the University of Amsterdam, a VWO B from the Haags Montessori Lyceum, a basiskwalificatie didactische bekwaamheid in opleidingen professionals from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in industrial design engineering from the Delft University of Technology. G. also has a certification from FutureLearn in philosophy of technology and design: shaping the relations between humans and technologies, as well as certifications from DataCamp in intermediate importing data in R, data visualization with ggplot2 (part 2), introduction to importing data in R, introduction to the tidyverse, and data visualization with ggplot2 (part 1). Finally, they have a senior kwalificatie examineren certification from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
