Steven Baer

Director Supply Chain Technology at HOJ Innovations

Steven Baer has diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Steven started their career in 2005 as a Purchasing Agent at Wolf Peak International, where they managed purchases, set up EOQ and replenish triggers, and developed forecasting methods. Steven then worked as a Transportation Specialist at Western Hay Company, preparing export documentation and managing inventory.

In 2008, Steven joined O.C. Tanner as a Logistics Analyst, where they managed carrier relationships, performed LTL bids, and created a shipment rating engine. Steven later worked as an Adjunct Professor at Brigham Young University, teaching Supply Chain Logistics Management.

From 2011 to 2014, Steven served as a Business Analyst/Project Manager at 1800 Contacts, designing software systems and implementing changes to improve operations. Steven then joined Thomas Arts as the Manager of Data Development, transforming the position into a data management department that built automated solutions using relational databases and SQL.

Steven worked as a Database Engineer at the LDS church and as a Data Warehouse Developer at nThrive before joining HOJ Innovations in 2017. At HOJ, they initially worked as a Logistics Engineer, providing project management for the implementation of Warehouse Mobile Solutions. Steven currently holds the role of Director of Supply Chain Technology, where they serve as the main point of contact for customer integrations.

Steven Baer completed their Masters of Information Systems degree from the University of Utah in 2011. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management from Weber State University from 2005 to 2009. Steven'sstudies at Weber State University encompassed various fields including Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, European Studies, and International Business. In 2009, they obtained the certification of Certified Supply Chain Professional from APICS.
