Tom Andreas Mannerud

Tom Andreas Mannerud has a diverse work experience. Tom Andreas started their career in 2003 at Carnival Cruise Line, where they served as a Shipboard Information Systems Manager and later as a Senior Shipboard Information Systems Manager. In these roles, they managed various aspects of information technology, information security, and communications onboard passenger super-liners. Tom Andreas joined Kforce Inc in 2006 as an Information Technology Manager before moving to HOK, where they held multiple roles including Associate, Senior Associate, and currently serves as a Principal and Information Security Manager. Additionally, they had a brief stint at the International Academy of Design and Technology (IADT) as an Advisory Board Member and Adjunct Instructor.

Tom Andreas Mannerud obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from the University of South Florida, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Prior to that, from 1996 to 1997, they pursued Professional Studies in Network Administration at Otto Treiders Handelsskole. Tom Andreas also attended the same institution from 1993 to 1996 and completed Upper Secondary School (High School) with a specialization in the Information and Data Processing Branch.

In terms of higher education, Tom earned a Master of Science degree in Information Security and Assurance from Western Governors University, attending from 2012 to 2013.

Tom Mannerud has obtained multiple certifications. Notably, they obtained the ATT&CK® Cyber Threat Intelligence Certification from MITRE Engenuity in April 2022. In September 2017, they achieved the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA. Additionally, they acquired certifications such as CNSS/NSA/NSTISSI 4011 Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Professional and CNSS/NSA/NSTISSI 4012 Senior Systems Manager from the CNSS • Committee on National Security Systems in December 2013. Other certifications include GIAC Certified ISO-27000 Specialist (G2700) from GIAC Certifications in July 2013, Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) from EC-Council in May 2013, and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) from EC-Council in December 2012.

In terms of early certifications, Tom achieved the Certified Internet Webmaster Associate (CIW) from Certification Partners (CIW) in April 2001. In June 1999, they obtained the Certified Internet Business Strategist (CIBS) certification from Novell. Furthermore, they received multiple certifications from Novell, including Certified Novell Administrator (CNA) - IntranetWare in August 1997, Certified Novell Engineer (CNE) in August 1997, and Certified Novell Administrator (CNA) - Netware in June 1996.
