Sonali Sarma

Sonali Sarma has a diverse work experience in the field of Human Resources. Sonali began their career at Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Maharashtra where they gained experience in employee relations and HR processes. Sonali then worked at Reliance Industries Limited, where they held various HR positions and was involved in change management and performance management initiatives. Sonali later joined ACC Limited as Head of Learning & Organization Development, where they focused on talent identification and capability development. In 2012, they moved to Holcim as the Head of ACC-ACL Leadership Academy India, where they set up a common L&D academy for two cement companies and implemented training and talent initiatives. Sonali then worked as Head of Learning and Development at Holcim, leveraging learning and development for strengthening business strategy. Sonali'smost recent role was at Adani Cements, where they served as Head of Leadership Development & Capability Building. Currently, they are working as the Head of Human Resources at Deshpande Foundation.

Sonali Sarma obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Wilson College Mumbai in 1986. Sonali then pursued their MA in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, completing it in 1989. In 2009, they obtained a Professional HR certification from the Society of Human Resources Management. Sonali also attended an Executive Leadership Development Course at IMD in 2014. Additionally, Sonali Sarma has multiple certifications, including Building Resilience from LinkedIn in 2020, Certified Trainer from the Center for Creative Leadership in 2017, and Leading Positive Change through Appreciative Inquiry from Coursera in 2017.
