Matthew Cook

Matthew Cook has a diverse work experience that spans over a period of 20 years. Matthew started as a Baker at Macy's European Coffee House and Bakery from January 1997 to July 1999. Matthew then worked as a social worker at the veterans administration, where they provided direct practice social work in an outreach program for homeless vets in the greater Phoenix area. Matthew also facilitated a Combat Vet's PTSD group, worked in the Mental Health "Emergency Room," and assisted in the Substance Abuse program at the VA in Phoenix. Additionally, they managed the VA's 3/4 house and the contract with the 90-day residential substance abuse program. From August 1999 to August 2001, Matthew served as an Outreach Social Worker at the Carl T. Hayden V.A. Medical Center. Currently, they are the Director of Camp Operations at The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, where they oversee collaboration with associated camps in the United States and abroad, providing camping experiences and year-round support to children with cancer and other serious illnesses, as well as their families and healthcare providers.

Matthew Cook completed their high school education at Burrillville Jr Sr High School from 1985 to 1988, with a focus on College Prep. Matthew then attended Prescott College from 1990 to 1994, where they did not receive a degree but their field of study is not specified. Following this, from 1996 to 1998, Matthew pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at Northern Arizona University. Finally, they attended Arizona State University from 1999 to 2000, where they obtained a Master's degree in Direct Practice Social Work.
