Bethany McConnell

Bethany McConnell is an experienced English teacher with a diverse instructional background spanning over a decade. Currently serving at Holland Christian Schools since August 2022, McConnell previously held a position at DeWitt Public Schools from September 2014 to March 2023, where responsibilities included teaching various English courses and acting as the English department chairperson for the 2021-2022 school year. In that role, McConnell managed a team of seven teachers, developed curriculum, and implemented innovative instructional strategies across digital platforms. McConnell also contributed to positive school culture initiatives and mentored new educators. Earlier experience includes teaching at the School District of Hillsborough County, focusing on AP English courses and creative writing, alongside leading community service projects for female students. McConnell holds a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Michigan State University.
