Bob Laning possesses extensive experience in chaplaincy and education, currently serving as a Crisis On Call Chaplain at Holland Community Hospital since January 2013 and as the Coordinator/Pastor of the Western Michigan Japanese Ministry with the Reformed Church in America since September 2015. In addition to these roles, Bob teaches as a substitute in Holland area public high schools through EDUStaff, LLC, starting in November 2017. Bob also contributes to the local music scene as a freelance musician while pursuing a degree in jazz at Hope College. Previously, Bob gained significant experience as a Correctional Chaplain at both the Federal Correctional Institution and the Federal Bureau of Prisons, managing multiple faith groups and leading worship services. Educational background includes a Master of Divinity in prison chaplaincy from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and studies at Hope College.
