Marenta Klinger

Director of Resident Life at Holland Home

Marenta Klinger is the Director of Resident Life at Holland Home. Prior to that, they were with Adult Well-Being Services, where they served as a Long-Term Care Ombudsman. In that role, they were responsible for ensuring that the rights of residents in long-term care settings were upheld, including assisting residents in transitioning to a more independent setting, advocating on a variety of quality of care concerns, intervening on behalf of the resident, and simply being their voice on various issues should they desire.

Before that, Ms. Klinger was with Harbor Hospice, where they served as a Marketing and Development Volunteer Assistant. In that role, they were responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of marketing and fundraising plans, as well as coordinating special events.

Ms. Klinger began their career as a Gerontology Graduate Assistant with Grand Valley State University. In that role, they assisted with research projects related to aging and provided support to the faculty in the department.

Ms. Klinger has a passion for working with the elderly population and has dedicated their career to improving the lives of those in long-term care settings.

Marenta Klinger has a MHA in Health Administration from Grand Valley State University and a BS in Sociology with an Aging and Adult Life emphisis from Grand Valley State University.

Marenta Klinger works with Tammy Sue Veldkamp - Executive Director, Faith Hospice, Doug Himmelein - EVP, Human Resources & Operations, and Rene Wheaton - EVP, Home & Community-Based Services. Their manager is Troy Vugteveen, President & CEO.
