Steve James has a diverse work experience in the telecommunications industry. Steve started their career as a Product Manager at T-Mobile UK in 2006, followed by a role as an International Propositions Manager at T-Mobile from 2006 to 2008. Steve then joined O2 UK as the Head of Propositions and Acquisition for Tesco Mobile from 2009 to 2011.
Steve then worked at Telefonica/Tuenti Technologies as the Head of Marketing from 2011 to 2014. Steve further advanced their career at Tesco Mobile as the Head of Brand and Advertising for a brief period in 2014. Steve also served as the Head of Pay & Go at O2 (Telefónica UK) from 2014 to 2016, where they achieved revenue targets and improved profitability through customer acquisition strategies.
Steve later joined giffgaff as the Marketing Director for giffgaff gameplan from 2015 to 2019, where they were responsible for developing marketing and proposition strategies. Steve then joined Vodafone as the Head of Mass Market and Pay as you Go from 2019 to 2022, leading the transformation of Vodafone's mass market segment and achieving revenue growth.
Most recently, Steve held the position of CMO at World Mobile Group in 2022, where they headed the marketing, sponsorship, community, and social strategy. Steve'srole focused on delivering World Mobile's vision of revolutionizing the telco industry through Crypto and Blockchain technology across Africa.
Currently, Steve is working as the Head of Marketing at Home Made, a position they started in October 2022.
Steve James attended Oxford Brookes University from 1991 to 1994. Steve pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and Cartography.
