Prerna Slattery has a strong background in finance and operations management. Prerna most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer at Home Start Inc. starting in November 2022. Prior to that, they were the Director of Finance and Administration at the Public Health Institute from October 2020 to January 2022. Before that, they held the position of Director of Finance and Operations at The Nature Conservancy from January 2019 to April 2020.

Prerna also has experience working in the United Nations system. Prerna worked as the Budget and Finance Manager at UN Women from January 2017 to July 2018, and as the Finance and Operations Manager at the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) from October 2014 to December 2016. In their role at UNDP, they supported a multi-million-dollar operation and budget function for four international centers and served as the budget expert on complex issues.

Prior to their work at UNDP, Prerna served as a Finance and Operations Specialist at UNDP from March 2010 to September 2014. Prerna administered projects in the Bureau of Development Policy and played a key role in navigating organizational restructuring.

Prerna's experience also includes working as a Consultant at the United Nations, where they worked on project management and finance analysis for UNDP from July 2007 to December 2009. Prerna also has experience as a Research Analyst at Citigroup and as a Consultant in the Social Sector at the Inter-American Development Bank.

Throughout their career, Prerna has showcased their expertise in finance and operations management, budgeting, donor reporting, and contract management. Prerna has collaborated with various stakeholders, including UN agencies, donors, foundations, and the private sector, to achieve organizational objectives.

Prerna Slattery holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a concentration in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics from Columbia | SIPA. Prerna also has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Amherst College. Additionally, they obtained a Masters of Science degree in Development Economics and International Development from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). In terms of certifications, they have completed the CIPFA Management Accounting program from CIPFA in May 2015. Prerna also holds certifications in CIPFA Financial Accounting, Procurement Certification (Level 1, 2, 3) from CIPS Supply Management Awards 2010, and Series 7 from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority).
