Anil Kumar

Anil Kumar has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Anil began their career in 2002 as an Assistant Store Manager at THE COMPUTER SHOP LTD. Anil then worked as a Support Analyst at EMIS before joining Pitney Bowes as a Senior IT Consultant, where they developed and maintained client relationships across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

In 2011, Anil joined SELEX Systems Integration Ltd as an Applications Manager, where they led support teams, software development teams, and contractors. Anil also managed software licensing negotiations and agreements.

Anil then worked at Home Retail Group PLC as a Technical Delivery and Project Manager, overseeing complex technical projects across various channels. Anil took ownership of project lifecycles and maintained stakeholder relationships.

Currently, Anil is working at Homebase as the IT Security, Risk, and Compliance Lead. Anil successfully set up the UK cyber security capability and is accountable for maintaining strict security protocols and managing the information security infrastructure, team, systems, and capabilities.

Anil Kumar obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Bradford from 1999 to 2002. Anil also holds multiple certifications, including the PCI Internal Security Assessor (ISA) from the PCI Security Standards Council in 2024, Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control™ (CRISC) from ISACA in 2023, and various other certifications in Microsoft, information security, and agile methodologies.
