Vipan Nikore MD, MBA, FACP has an extensive work experience. Starting in 2006, they worked as a Researcher at UNICEF, where they investigated health services in rural India and coauthored a case study on social exclusion and discrimination in health. In 2007, they served as a Project Manager for Health Systems Strategy at the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, where they played a role in developing an innovative approach to strategic management.
In 2013, Nikore joined the Cleveland Clinic as an Attending Physician in the Department of Internal Medicine, where they provided patient care across multiple specialties and served as the General Internal Medicine Triage Officer. During this time, they also held a role as a Visiting Research Scientist in Health Informatics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where they co-edited a book on global health informatics and initiated a massive online open course (MOOC) on the subject.
In 2014, Nikore began working at Trillium Health Partners as an Internal Medicine Physician and GIM Quality Lead at Credit Valley Hospital. They later served as the Site Medical Director for the Department of Medicine at Credit Valley Hospital and the Innovation Lead for the Department of Medicine. They also held the position of Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine.
In 2018, Nikore took on the role of Chief Medical Director at TD, and in 2019, they became the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Homecare Hub. Additionally, they had a brief stint as a Summer Associate at Lux Capital in 2014.
Throughout their career, Nikore has demonstrated expertise in internal medicine, health informatics, and strategic management.
Vipan Nikore MD, MBA, FACP completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Software Engineering at Western University from 1997 to 2001. Vipan then pursued an MBA at the Yale School of Management from 2004 to 2006. Following this, they attended the University of Illinois College of Medicine from 2006 to 2010, where they earned their MD degree in Medicine. Finally, from 2010 to 2013, they completed their Internal Medicine Residency at the Cleveland Clinic, focusing on Internal Medicine.
