Reed Whitman

Reed Whitman currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Hometown Financial Group, MHC since January 2025. Prior to this role, Reed was the Treasurer at Brookline Bancorp Inc from February 2012 to January 2025, where significant achievements included founding the treasury group, leading M&A initiatives, managing investment and funding portfolios totaling $3 billion and $2 billion respectively, and overseeing a balance sheet of $11.5 billion. Reed's expertise extends to liquidity management, regulatory compliance, and the execution of complex balance sheet strategies. Previous positions held include Director of Treasury at State Street and Asset, Liability and Interest Rate Risk Manager at FHLB Boston, among others, with early career experience in financial analysis roles. Reed Whitman holds an MBA in Finance from Questrom School of Business at Boston University, a BA in Economics from Trinity College-Hartford, and a dual concentration in Classics from Hotchkiss.
