Natalie Barefoot is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in environmental law and advocacy for ocean conservation. Currently serving as a Senior Attorney for International Oceans at Earthjustice since April 2020, Natalie focuses on protecting keystone marine species. As Executive Director of Cet Law, Inc., Natalie promotes the conservation of cetaceans and their habitats through legal frameworks and education. In addition to these roles, Natalie is involved with Homeward Bound Projects as a member of Team 5, supporting women's leadership in environmental decision-making. Previously, Natalie held positions including Director of the Environmental Justice Clinic at the University of Miami School of Law, Programme Officer at UNEP, and Attorney at Hogan Lovells US LLP, where key contributions included managing multi-district litigation for water disputes in Florida. Educational credentials include a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law and a Bachelor of Accountancy from The George Washington University.
