Diana Lamppu

Senior Vice President, Head Of R&d Strategy, Operations, And Program Management at Homology Medicines

Diana Lamppu has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Diana started their career at Genetics Institute as a Research Associate II, where they worked on scaling up production and increasing product yield of novel proteins. Diana then moved on to Millennium Pharmaceuticals as a Research Investigator, where they optimized and ran in vitro assays for compound screening and lead development.

In 2003, Lamppu joined Critical Therapeutics as an Associate Program Manager, where they successfully managed three programs at different stages of development. Diana also served as a Scientist I at Critical Therapeutics, developing cell-based assays for an anti-inflammatory pathway and supervising co-op students.

Lamppu joined Shire Pharmaceuticals in 2008 and held various roles. As an Associate Director of Program Management, they worked on successful development and lifecycle strategies for two marketed products. Diana later became the Director of Corporate Planning and Program Management, providing leadership and planning support to the Rare Disease Business Unit.

In 2014, Lamppu joined Akebia Therapeutics as the Senior Director and Head of Global Program Management. Diana established the program management function and led the development of the integrated program plan and strategy for vadadustat.

Most recently, Lamppu served as the Senior Vice President and Head of R&D Strategy, Operations, and Program Management at Homology Medicines. Diana oversaw the development portfolio and long-term program strategy, as well as led program and alliance management and strategic planning.

Throughout their career, Lamppu has consistently demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic planning abilities, and successful program management experience.
