Michael Zasadzien

Michael Zasadzien is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in various engineering roles across multiple industries. Currently serving as Principal Mechanical Engineer at Honeybee Robotics since September 2019, Zasadzien focuses on the development of the LISTER pneumatic drilling device for lunar applications. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Design Engineer at Vector Launch Inc., Mechanical Design Engineer at Bigelow Aerospace, and Chassis/Powertrain Engineer at Daimler Trucks North America, where Zasadzien contributed to the design and integration of complex mechanical systems. Zasadzien began the professional career as a Product Development Engineer at Navistar Inc. and has worked in roles requiring the design of automotive components and tooling at companies such as Jernberg Industries and eServ. Zasadzien holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where involvement included leading design efforts for Formula SAE vehicles.
