Wong Karen

Wong Karen currently serves as the Head of Procurement at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), a position held since August 2020, where responsibilities include defining procurement strategies and managing procurement activities in alignment with stakeholder priorities. Prior to HKEX, Wong held the role of APAC Chief Procurement Officer at BNP Paribas from 2015 to July 2020, leading the procurement function across all business lines in the region. Earlier experience includes various leadership positions at Merck from 2000 to 2015, including Director of Regional Indirect Procurement for Asia Pacific, where oversight of sourcing strategies and category management was provided. Wong holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and has further education from the Institute for Supply Management.
